The master integrator: Brian Drayton

Posted by Keith Pezzoli on August 17, 2010 at 06:29 AM

Brian Drayton, the founding Executive Director of Richmond Spokes, hosted a visit by the Journey of the Global ARC 2010 on Aug. 15, 2010. Mr. Drayton is a master at social entreprenurship. And he is a skillful integrator; he relates his passionate advocacy of bicycling to larger concerns about health, climate change, workforce development, local economic development, and quality of life. He is helping define the new metrics we need for a new non-fossil fuel dependent economy; and he empowers youth to step up and be leaders in their own communities. Mr. Drayton is a sustainability champion in the fullest meaning of this term.  For some photos of Brian, see: http://www.flickr.com/photos/theglobalarc/sets/72157624618626679/
