Tensions around democracy. Revolution in systems of communication, including social media. Right now a great deal of emphasis (the progressive path forward to make empowerment possible) relies on various forms of new communications, in action, on the ground, thru new networks, alliances, etc. Communications  (social media, local-regional-global information systems, video, progressive radio in rural areas, alternative print media, etc) is one of the most significant aspects of the ARC itself. We are an alternative for progressive communication ---progressive knowledge sharing and action empowered thru civically-engaged research scaled up thru social media, global networking,  etc.
